September 1st, 2020: Rotary Great Britain and Ireland are delighted to announce that the largest Rotary Foundation Global Grant of $1.125 million has been approved. This grant will enable Rotary and Mercy Ships to fund a brand new, state of the art CT scanner, and other vital equipment onboard the Global Mercy, which launches next year. The Global Mercy is the largest purpose-built NGO hospital ship. It will double the impact of Mercy Ships on healthcare systems throughout West Africa. The money will provide a range of sophisticated medical equipment for Decks 3 & 4: the ship’s hospital decks with six operating theatres, three infection isolation rooms, 147 ward beds, six post-operative recovery beds and four intensive care beds. It will also provide training and education for local healthcare workers. more

September 4th, 2020: Jennifer E. Jones, a member of the Rotary Club of Windsor-Roseland, Ontario, Canada, has been nominated to become Rotary International’s president for 2022-23, a groundbreaking selection that will make her the first woman to hold that office in the organization’s 115-year history. Jennifer says she sees Rotary’s Action Plan as a catalyst for increasing Rotary’s impact. more

July 1st, 2020: Congratulations to former Mayor of Wilton and Councillor Peter Edge who on July 1st took over from Immediate Past President Carole Slater PHF as President of Wilton Rotary Club for the forthcoming year.

July 1st, 2020: Immediate Past President Carole Slater PHF presents Treasurer David Huckfield PHF with his Rotary International Avenues of Service Award for “outstanding efforts in each of the Avenues of Service”.

July 27th, 2020: Our Team’s Participation in the “alternative” Stars Appeal Walk for Wards 2020 resulted in a total of £1,340 being raised for this years event which we were not required to marshal due to COVID-19.

January, 2021: Volunteers from Wilton Rotary Club, Wilton HELP and sixth formers from Bishop Wordsworth School are joining forces to support the NHS run the Vaccination Centre in the Michael Herbert Hall in Wilton. more
